American Ace sired many good show horses, and a handful of really nice breeding stallion sons, but he was a wonderful sire of broodmares. Out of 199 registered daughters, five of them became Hall of Fame Broodmares, another three daughters had their own daughters enter the BHF, and several daughters produced WGC's and RWGC's. Normally, there aren't a lot of broodmare pictures, so many of the American Ace daughters will be represented here through their get. However, Truman Ward, the owner of Maryland Farm and American Ace promoted his horses, so there are several really great photos from the early 1940's.
His five BHF's include Lucy Kilmer, Pennypack's Pride, Ace's Beauty Box, Ace's Refreshing Moment and Ace's Dark Jewel. Several of his good showing daughters went on to be good producers as well. Three pictured here are CH Ace's Fairy, RWCC Ace's Patrician Lady and RWCC Emerald's Sweet Sue. More great producing daughters included Ace's Dianna Dee, Ace's Orchid, Ace's Roberta, Gilded Gal O'Goshen and Jane Fable. In addition, even more Kentucky State Fair producers were Ace's Folly, Ace's Golden Promise, Ace's Gracious Lady, Ace's Nancy Wood, Ace's Primrose, Ace's Sparkle, Flashy Fashion, Land O'Goshen Highball, Love's Fantasy, Maryland's Summer Breeze, Senorita Aceta, and Virginia Ann.
